Her Story

A classically trained actor, singer, and musician, Jocelyn has played roles from Shakespeare to Broadway musicals, working in major professional theatres across Canada, as well as in film and television.  This triple threat performer has quickly established herself as a fiercely versatile powerhouse, and a talented artist who can transition seamlessly between mediums.

Most recently, Jocelyn has had a role in the musical series Grease: Rise Of The Pink Ladies for Paramount Plus, supporting roles in the t.v. movies Field Day (upcoming), Planning on Forever, and A Honeymoon To Remember, and starred as Nicola in Kinky Boots for The Arts Club Theatre Company. She also starred as Molly in the Canadian premiere of Ghost: The Musical with Drayton Entertainment, as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, for which she won an Ovation Award, E.V. Young Award, and Aida Broadbent Award, as Maia in the World Premiere of Nicholas Lloyd Webber’s new musical The Little Prince (Theatre Calgary), and as Kate in a very successful short film Molly, which received tremendous praise in the festival circuit.

A dual citizen of the United States and Canada, Jocelyn moved to Vancouver upon receiving a President’s Entrance Scholarship to study performing arts.  She trained as an actor in the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting program at the University of British Columbia, and while still attending university, she was cast as the lead in a feature film, and was also a Top 10 Finalist on the CBC show Triple Sensation, winning an award for Most Outstanding Actress. She graduated from the prestigious U.B.C. conservatory program with distinction, and was immediately accepted into both the American Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (AAMDA), and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) in the One Year Masters Classical Acting Program, the latter of which she trained at for a short part of 2010.  Since graduating and continuing to work steadily in theatre and film, Jocelyn understands that constant and rigorous training is critical to the development of her craft.  In addition to working professionally with many elite Broadway and Canadian directors and choreographers, Jocelyn has also taken masterclasses with Matthew Barry, the L.A. casting director of The Notebook, Tony Award winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, Shaw Festival director Tim Carroll, and many of Vancouver’s highly respected casting directors.

Jocelyn welcomed a son to her family in 2020, which has brought an immense amount of joy to her family. She is incredibly passionate about fitness, music, books, and spending time with the people she loves. Jocelyn also thoroughly enjoys travelling, and feels fortunate that her job allows her to see different places all over the globe.

Aside from acting, Jocelyn is a classically trained lyric/belt soprano, pianist, and flutist, and has trained in ballet, jazz, tap, and hip-hop.  When she’s not busy chasing her toddler around the house or engaged in performing herself, she teaches singing, acting, musical theatre, and piano to children and adults. As Jocelyn had her first lead role in a musical at the age of ten, she enjoys giving back to the community by passing on her craft to others, and is ardent about providing training opportunities to the young people of the world. She looks forward to you catching a glimpse of her on a stage or screen near you!
